Statements of Purpose
- To confirm that the ultimate source of all healing resides in
Mother Nature. . .
- To validate how connecting with wilderness in its purest form
can be one of the most powerful tools for inner healing and transformation.
- To realize that the San Bushmen of the Kalahari, the last hunter-gatherers
of Africa, are supreme nature adepts and that their consciousness
holds a key both to understanding our most primal selves and to
healing at the deepest level of Self (the Garden of Eden experience).
However, since the San are a map and not the territory, we must
remodel the lessons they teach so they can be of value to us in
the new millennium.
- To embrace the importance of a universal law or truth of polarity
balance.
- To affirm that the "medicine" Nature can provide involves balancing
the different polarities that challenge us in life and that nature
is the best place to encounter these polarities in their purest
form.
- To affirm that any healing modality linked to nature and our
indigenous selves is likely to be in its most original form and,
therefore, "most pure and most true."
- To celebrate Africa's contribution to a paradigm of healing
we are only now beginning to understand and to realize that, if
we go back to our roots in Africa, we will discover that many
of the West's new concepts of healing are really not new at all.
- To show how mining these primeval techniques for answers to
our own healing dilemmas will give us invaluable insights into
our own deficiencies and their solutions.
